Aussie writer Mel Day writes urban crime. Crime where a snarky, badass female sleuth manages to make up for inept policing and find justice where none was going to be found. Specialising in short stories, she's extending into novellas and novels.

Mel wasn't born clutching a pen in her fist but she certainly came to writing early. Most of her writing has been non-fiction until she emerged on the fiction scene in 2019.

Living on the gorgeous East Coast of Australia with her partner Mel manages to avoid getting in the sea yet revels in its majesty, power and joy.

When she hasn't got a laptop on her knee pounding out words, she's out volunteering getting way too involved in way too many things.
